Our

mission

We are a non-profit organization that provides preventive health care and health education to improve physical and mental health for school-age children in South Kivu (Democratic Republic of Congo).

Our focus

We help children, families and communities to break the vicious circle of poor hygiene. We do this by training local school doctors and medical consultants. Our school medicine project consists of 6 components.

Medical examinations

(main activity)

Coordinate and monitor the quality of medical examinations in 50 schools in and around Bukavu, in cooperation with local teams.

Hygiene education and disease prevention

Supporting the restricted health policy at school

Relational and Sexual Education in School

It takes an entire community to raise a child. Once this community is there, almost anything is achievable.

Training local teams

Training of local school doctors and nurses

Local integration

Integration of school medicine into local health policy and local government structures.

Expansion

Increasing our impact by reaching more schools in and around Bukavu as well as in other provinces of Congo.
